Pandora

It wasn't her fault. After all, she had been created by Hephaestus, at the behest of Zeus, for that purpose. Be the destruction of humanity. Pandora had been offered in marriage to Epimetheus as a punishment for Prometheus stealing the fire of the Gods and offering it to men. The titan had received a box from the Gods and he offered it to his brother as a wedding gift. One day, Epimetheus was distracted by Pandora's beauty and fell asleep thinking about his wife. This one, full of curiosity about the box, opens it, releasing all the evils and sorrows in the world. After realizing what she had done, Pandora quickly closed the box, managing to trap hope within it.
Like any oral tradition, there is more than one version for the same story. In another scenario, the box belonged to Pandora. Epimetheus, dominated by curiosity, opens it, being the one to release evil and pain in the world.
