Persephone and Hades

It only took six pomegranate seeds to trap Persephone with Hades for eternity. This story was the justification found by the Greeks for the annual harvest cycles. The Goddess of fertility spent six months in the underworld with her husband, and six months in the Earth with her mother, Demeter.
